The Vandepeer Quartet was founded in 2013 at RNCM, where they were finalists in the Weil Prize Competition and won the John Barbirolli/Laurence Turner Prize for String Quartet. Coached by Leonard Elschenbroich, Sara Bitloch, Petr Prause, The Elias Quartet and The Gould Quartet, they performed recitals at Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte Festival, Montepulciano, Italy; Dvorak Piano Quintet with Daniel Tong at Wye Valley Chamber Music Festival; and premiered contemporary pieces at Wigmore Hall. United by their love and passion for chamber music, all four members of The Vandepeer Quartet are also accomplished musicians in their own right, forging varied and interesting careers.
