Performances at Whitstable Music Society
Neil Chaffey (on behalf of Alicia Chaffey) - "Thank you for such an enjoyable visit to Whitstable Music Society, you should be proud of such a thriving organisation, especially having survived since the economic collapse. I hope that everyone appreciates the quality of life which the Society adds to the community; this is so important in this day and age, when there are selfish elements which have a negative effect.
Thank you for inviting my daughter Alicia and also for your warm hospitality. I was very proud of her performance." |
Arisa (The Fujita Piano Trio) - "We always really enjoy playing to such a warm and attentive audience and we feel very much at home playing there! We would definitely love to come and play in Whitstable again sometime!
Also it would be so nice to come with my quartet Gémeaux Quartet as well! We are preparing to record Mendelssohn String Quartet op.80 in f minor (his last String Quartet written after Fanny’s death) and Fanny Mendelssohn String Quartet in Eb next year and it would be very nice to have an opportunity to play this programme in Whitstable!" |
Duncan, George, Colin and Elliott (The Maxwell Quartet) - "We had a fantastic time on Saturday - a really warm and encouraging audience full of great personalities! There were some very special moments in the concert for us. So, our heartfelt thanks to you and to all involved in making this concert happen. We would love to come back to Whitstable again. If you like, we can add you to our newsletter list and keep you up to date with our goings on! If we are down your way again we will of course get in touch.
Hope your season continues to go well!" |
Daniel Shao - "Despite the cold, me and Dan both greatly enjoyed ourselves, and I was particularly delighted to receive many enthusiastic comments about the Harty and Hurel pieces. It’s a testament to the quality of your music society and its audience that more ‘challenging’ music can be received with open arms! As a performer who is particularly interested in contemporary music it was an absolute delight to get such a response. Hopefully we will cross paths again!"
