After finishing a Maths. degree at London University, I became a member of Whitstable Music Society back in its very first season in 1975 - (attending the concert with my parents who were both involved with the Methodist Church) - and have been a member ever since. I have always enjoyed the high standard of concerts & the very friendly welcoming atmosphere.
I've always enjoyed classical music & so I had piano lessons from age 8 til' 11 & then again at University, & continue to enjoy playing to this day. |
I had always vowed to get more involved with the committee when I retired, so when Geoff Bush stood down as Treasurer in 2019 - I agreed to take over. With my accountancy & maths. background, the Treasurer's role was the obvious one for me. The current committee work very well together, which makes committee meetings a pleasant experience.
