The London Bridge Trio
Our next concert is on Saturday 29th February at 7.30 pm at our usual venue.
We are delighted to welcome The London Bridge Trio who will be playing three amazing piano trios- The Beethoven C minor Op.1, the Schumann Piano Trio in F major and the Mendelssohn Piano Trio No. 2 Op 66- and you really can't get better than that!!
The London Bridge Trio is one of Britain’s leading chamber ensembles, known for their deeply nuanced and searching interpretations. The trio originally formed in 2002 as the London Bridge Ensemble and they continue to prioritize strong, composer-led programmes and collaborate with regular guest artists. Their name reflects an admiration for English music of the early twentieth century, which forms part of the group’s varied repertoire and is represented by their hugely successful Frank Bridge recordings.
The Gramophone said of the Trio: ‘The London Bridge Trio aren't afraid to tell it like it is. Playing that is as compelling as it is rapt...’
